Weekend

This past weekend was great. I flew out to Kansas City on Thursday evening for a National Council meeting. I flew on a little puddle-jumper and the worst part of the flight was when the flight attendant asked a few people in rows 1-4 (I was in row 3) to move back to help 'balance the plane.' That's great. Then, during the flight, I wanted to use my laptop to watch a movie, but the man in front of me had his seat reclined. Since the front row was empty, I asked if I could move, only to be told that I couldn't because it would shift the balance. Well, what happened if I had to use the bathroom? Luckily I didn't have to go or I might have brought the plane down!

The rest of the weekend was a lot of work (think meeting from 9am until 9 or 11 pm). It did get tiring, but it was extremely productive. I'm excited about the work that we accomplished. A lot of effort will be put in working with Teach For America and this is the greatest thing. I enjoy community service and this will allow me to utilize my skills and knowledge to help the fraternity as well as TFA.

On a side note, I managed to make $175 late Saturday night at the casino playing poker ($3-$6)--it was a nice way to end the weekend full of business.

I really enjoy being on Council and helping lead Phi Sigma Pi into the future!

Excited...
